What is the Developer's build of The Lock?
The Developer's build of The Lock is a stable version of the program that is running on the developers machines, as well as all computers at CrashCourse Software (except testing machines, as they would most likely be running the next version of the Developers build). Each Developers Build release has been certified on the developers test systems, as well as passed Short Term QA testing. Short Term QA testing is a full testing suite, but testing is limited to Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista systems.
It should be noted that the Developers build of The Lock is not a beta, it is a fully functional release of the program, although any future public beta programs will be built from the same code.
The Lock Developers Build uses the same serial numbers that The Lock retail build uses, so registered customers will be able to use the program as the registered version.
Anytime a Developers Build is moved to a Lock retail build, the local install will notify the Administrator that an update to the program is available, and will offer to download and install the update automatically. |
